The story behind today's Google Doodle

I'm sure many of you are wondering why strangely, Google chose to have their Doodle for the day
show all that mathematics equation - for lack of a more creative way to put it - that makes one feel like a mini scientist. Well, I did wonder too!

Today, Google chose to celebrate the 200th birthday of British mathematician George Boole who had a different opinion from the supposed general belief that the universe is complex. In his opinion, "things can be seen as relatively simple; any values can be pared down to yes or no, true or false, or 0 or 1". For me, that's as simple as it can get.

George Boole’s 200th Birthday
As a champion of simplicity & on behalf of all who believe in the “Boolean” system - or at least think there's sense in it, Here's wishing George Boole a happy posthumous birthday - you didn't think he's still alive did you?
